The aim of the DMIUT 2019 conference is the development and proliferation of novel diagnostic methods of steel materials and industrial components state assessment, focused on the detection of microstructural changes as well as on residual stress level evaluation of exploited elements.

This forum will also join experts of steel health monitoring. The electromagnetic methods of steel state assessment appear to be the most effective and thus novel ideas of such type of diagnostics should be also presented and proposed to industry end users.
We assume that the conference will enable multilateral contact of four different groups of partners:
- scientists from the scientific institutions working on the development of novel diagnostic techniques,
- maintenance staff working in the industry and looking for new, effective methods of diagnostics,
- certification companies responsible for the approval and implementation of the new techniques in the industrial environment,
- companies developing and supplying the equipment for the industrial diagnostics.
The conference should also stimulate the integration of the scientific activity of the academic and industrial partners and their collaboration leading to successful validation and implementation of the novel, innovative diagnostic techniques dedicated for 4.0 industry.
